By installing ShelfCopy on your Shopify store, you agree to these terms.

The service

ShelfCopy generates product descriptions, meta tags, image alt-text, and Product schema using AI. You review every generated draft and choose whether to apply it. ShelfCopy never modifies your products without your explicit click.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of any copy you choose to apply. Review generated content before clicking Apply.
You agree not to use ShelfCopy to generate misleading product claims, infringing content, or copy that violates Shopify's Acceptable Use Policy.
You will not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service in ways that could harm other merchants.

Pricing and billing

Subscription fees are charged through Shopify's Billing API on a 30-day cycle in USD.
All plans include a 7-day free trial.
Generation limits reset monthly. Unused generations do not roll over.
You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

AI-generated content

ShelfCopy uses Anthropic's Claude API. Generated content may occasionally contain errors or omissions. We design our prompts to avoid invented facts, but you must verify any claims before applying. ShelfCopy is not liable for inaccurate copy you choose to publish.

Service availability

We make commercially reasonable efforts to keep ShelfCopy available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance and third-party outages (Anthropic, Shopify, Cloudflare, Fly.io) may cause temporary disruptions.

Termination

You may uninstall ShelfCopy from your Shopify admin at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or Shopify's policies.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShelfCopy's total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, or consequential damages.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be emailed to your shop owner. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
